Meet the Team
Alyssa Cairns has been designing client home renovations and interior furnishing transformations since 2015. Her husband, Mark, joined the company in 2022 when they started sourcing designer furniture and offering full-service installations for clients.
Opening the warehouse has been a dream since their first visit to meet furniture vendors in spring 2023 at High Point Market in North Carolina.
Mark’s experience in sales and logistics, combined with Alyssa’s designer-eye for quality and style- makes them the perfect team to launch the Studio in Grand Rapids.
The story of the warehouse
The Alcove Interiors warehouse grew out of Alyssa’s love for beautiful home furnishings, and the inspiration to bring more high-quality pieces to West Michigan in a new way.
After designing custom pieces for clients, and sourcing future directly from manufacturers (the same sources you see at your favorite retail brands!) - the team at Alcove Interiors wanted to pass on those discoveries in a bigger way.
On our showroom/shop floor, don’t be surprised if you see pieces that you have seen online or in a catalogue- we are always hunting for new styles at great prices. We also love finding items that aren’t available anywhere online- we’re the boutique furniture source you’ve been wishing for!
Our warehouse, in-person-sale concept allows us to keep our costs low, and pass those competitive prices on to our customers.

Alcove Interiors is the home of designer furniture shopping in Grand Rapids! Located in a historic building, Suite 17 is on the first floor in an interior warehouse space.
We host monthly furniture sale events, as well as work with clients by appointment. NOW OPEN on Thursday afternoons for drop-in shopping, too.
Design clients can also request an appointment to visit the warehouse with our designer and put together a design for your home or customize upholstery pieces to order.
